By Nigel Mccarty

Creating a buzz for your artist.
As an artist you have many many things to do in order to get the world to take a look at you. In this media frenzy culture today you have to fight very hard to get the attention of the viewers. So here are a few tips in order for you to do these things effectively.

Find a news hook: Make sure you are not boring and that you tell the audience something that keep them interested in what you have going on. The information that you should have available should:

1. Entertain the audience
2. Edify the audience(Provide some value so that they will feel enriched by watching your news segment)
3. Increase the audiences awareness of new trends
4. Highlight new trends, holidays and seasonal focus
Develop an action plan: Make sure that you have a list of shows and media that you would like to have cover your story.

Study each of the shows: This is a critical part of your process. Make sure that you know everything there is to know about a particular show that you want to be seen on. Always ask yourself the following questions:

1. Do they feature guest similar to me? If so, what makes your different from your competitors?
2. Do the segments use visuals? If so, how often and can you match or surpass the kinds of visuals used on the show?
3. Observe if they commonly interview certain types of guest.

Create a Pitch: You must have a compelling pitch to give to the people. It must be relevant and timely and must reflect what is going on in the world today. Be sure to make it as emotional as you possibly can to ensure that you move the hearts of all who hear it.

Media Kit: Make sure you have a physical Media Kit available to send out to producers of the show that you wish to be on. Be certain that you kit is professional as possible which includes neat color clips, articles and a link for your online kit as well.

The real advantage of a physical media kit is in knowing when you are going to send it you have the opportunity to send extra press clipping and other things to enhance what you will be sending to a specific show.
Be sure to take advantage of all these tips that you offer you today and make the most of your music career. The world is waiting for you to make a mark so make that you do.
